  • reaching the age limit for old age pension.

Also, pension savings are divided into 3 categories:

The amount of future pension that the employee will receive upon reaching retirement age depends on the conscientiousness of the latter’s implementation of pension payments. However, does the company always make these payments in full? How to find out whether contributions are being made to the Pension Fund will be discussed in this article.

Checking savings through government services

If you are not registered on the State Services Portal, you need to register and confirm your Pension Fund account or use Russian Post. For those who have already used this site, you need to visit your Personal Account.

  1. Select from the catalog and follow this link.
  2. After that, click on “Notification and personal account status.”
  3. These actions will be followed by a statement in which all deductions to your individual account will be indicated.

How to check savings on government services

The single portal “State Services” allows you to resolve almost all issues without visiting government agencies and departments. To find out the size of your pension online using SNILS at State Services, it is enough to order an extract on the status of the individual account of the insured person.

SNILS on the government services portal will be needed at the registration stage. Check the insurance certificate number in the citizen’s personal data section. The user does not fill in this information. It is entered automatically upon registration. Later, SNILS will be required to verify the correctness of the generated data.

Instructions on how to work on the portal:

  1. Log in to “Government Services” using your account.
  2. In the “Popular on the portal” section, select “Notice on the status of a personal account in the Pension Fund of Russia”.
  3. Click the “Get service” button on the right side of the screen.
  4. We are waiting for the data to be generated. It will only take a couple of minutes.
  5. Print the completed information or save it in PDF format.

Study the information received. Pay special attention to the amounts of accrued wages and deductions made from employers. If there are disagreements or errors, you must contact the Pension Fund for advice.

IMPORTANT!

Check section 3 of your personal account statement at the Pension Fund. The name of the fund to which the funded part of the pension is transferred is reflected here. If you did not manage the funds, then VEB UK (ADVANCED) will be indicated in the statement.

If you did not transfer the funded part of your pension to a non-state pension fund, but section 3 of the statement indicates a non-state pension fund, then your savings were transferred fraudulently. It is necessary to resolve the issue with scammers; to do this, seek advice from the Pension Fund of Russia.

Through your personal account in the pension fund

While on the Pension Fund website, you are also required to register, indicating a valid (working) email for confirmation.

  1. After the above steps, you need to fill out a form in which you should indicate your passport details and SNILS number.
  2. Next, to get information about savings, you need to go to the “Pension Fund” section and select the appropriate link there.

If any problems arise, you can contact the Pension Fund staff at the phone number indicated at the top of the page. The hotline operates 24 hours a day and calls are free.

Other ways to check savings

There are other ways to get information about pension savings using SNILS. For example, through the website or office of a non-state pension fund. There are many services and applications on the Internet that provide similar services. Be careful, some services provide services for a fee.

If you are required to provide a phone number, the service fee will be debited from your balance. Use proven and free services: Gosuslugi, Pension Fund and Sberbank.Online.

Pension contributions in Sberbank

All pension contributions occur through various credit organizations, but only through those with which the Pension Fund has an agreement. Among them is Sberbank, to which you can submit an application to receive a statement of savings. As when visiting the Pension Fund, a citizen must have SNILS and passport data with him, which will be used to draw up an application for the provision of services.

What to do if errors are found or deductions are not received

Any doubts or shortcomings in the extract received cannot be ignored. For any questions, please contact the Pension Fund. Take your passport and SNILS with you.

Please note when working with electronic services:

  1. Data on wages and length of service are updated quarterly, but only after employers submit quarterly reports in the DAM form. The deadline for submitting calculations for insurance premiums is the 30th day of the month following the reporting month. Before this period, information is not uploaded to the extract from the Pension Fund.
  2. Data on points are recalculated quarterly and at the end of the year, after employers provide the annual reporting form SZV-STAZH.
  3. If technical work is underway on the site, then ask for information later or personally visit the MFC and Pension Fund.
  4. If you change your personal data, you must check that your details are up to date in the system.

Solve other problems personally at the MFC or Pension Fund.

How to check the correctness of pension calculations through State Services?

According to the law, contributions must be made to the Pension Fund from the employer in the form of a 22% tax. There are also organizations in which points for employees are awarded not 22 percent, but 20%. But in companies where employees are engaged in work activities with hazardous and harmful substances, or are in difficult working conditions, the employer charges an additional 4% in excess of the established 22%.

Sometimes employees may feel that it is unfair for the employer to contribute to the account. In this case, it is possible to find out through the accounting department of the organization in which they work. However, not everyone wants to clarify this issue in this way, so you can easily use the same website of State Services, the Pension Fund, banks and the Multifunctional Center.

Let's talk about retirement...

Pensions are divided into two categories: insurance and funded. Each of us has a personal account in a pension fund (state or non-state), the funds in which will later become our pension. It is logical: the more funds, the higher the pension and the more comfortable the old age.

It is the employer’s task to replenish the personal pension account. He is required to make monthly contributions in the amount of 22% of wages before personal income tax. Funds are distributed as follows:

  • insurance part – 16%;
  • cumulative part – 6%.

There are several exceptions to this rule:

  • Organizations working under the simplified tax system (in simplified terms, speaking humanly) transfer 20%.
  • Individual entrepreneurs independently transfer money to their personal account. The amount is calculated depending on income (a deduction from an amount equal to the minimum wage is often practiced).
  • The amount of insurance for persons employed in hazardous work is higher than for those employed in a less hazardous area.

This is how the “body” of our pension is formed. Various coefficients are added to this amount. The number of children, military service, length of service, etc. are taken into account. You can calculate your future pension on the website of the Russian Pension Fund using an online calculator.

Extract from the Pension Fund through State Services

You can find out your pension savings from the Pension Fund, as mentioned above, by using the State Services Portal.

  1. First of all, you need to go to your Personal Account by selecting and clicking the link “Receive an extract from the Pension Fund of Russia”.
  2. After clicking on this section, the system will begin checking your savings online, so this operation will take some time.
  3. After a couple of minutes, the page will display the result, which can be sent to an email address or downloaded to your PC.
  4. When saving a document, the system will notify you that this paper can be used for informational purposes only. Then you need to click on the “save” button, selecting the path on your computer. With the support of the browser used at this moment, the online PDF viewing function, the saved file can be displayed in a new window.

If you find an error, please select a piece of text and press Ctrl+Enter.

What to do if SNILS is lost

Difficulties may arise if the insured person does not know the number of his pension insurance certificate (SNILS). For example, if a previously issued document was lost or damaged. In this case, before checking contributions to the Pension Fund through State Services or in any other way, you should find out your SNILS number. Let us remind you that from April 2021, the issuance of a paper version of the document has been canceled (Federal Law No. 48-FZ of 04/01/2019). But at the request of a citizen, a certificate is issued indicating his number.

If the user intends to independently check contributions online through the Pension Fund, he does not need to receive an official certificate with SNILS details. He will be able to find out the document number using a special service.

The auxiliary electronic resource is located on the website of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation, in the “Individual personal account” section. You can use it in the citizen’s Personal Account, which is entered through a confirmed account on the State Services portal. The service allows you to remotely submit an application for a duplicate SNILS. The insurance certificate is generated in a few seconds in the form of an electronic document (in pdf format), it indicates the user’s full name and insurance number of his personal identification number. If necessary, the information received is printed and provided where required.

If an individual wants to receive SNILS in the form of a paper certificate, they should personally apply for it to a multifunctional center or branch of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation.

How to find a notice

How can I view the funded part of my pension at State Services? Data on the status of pension savings appears on the service request page. In the future, they can be found in your personal account in the notifications section.

Important: in the notice you can find data on length of service and the amount of deductions only for previous years. Data for the current year will only be entered in the next calendar year. Therefore, the document will have to be ordered again over time.

Checking the accrual of preferential pensions

You can calculate early retirement pension for workers in hazardous industries or with northern work experience using the above scheme. In this case, it is necessary to take into account this application of the regional coefficient. It is used if you live in areas with difficult climatic conditions. The value varies from 1.15 to 2.

When you change your place of residence, the value of the regional coefficient is revised.

In addition, for citizens who have a certain length of work experience in the Far North (FN) and equal territories (EKS), the PV in the formula for calculating the old-age pension has an increased significance. It does not decrease even when moving to another area:

  • RUR 8,001.29 – citizens under 80 years of age, if they have worked for the RKS for 15 years or more, and their total insurance experience is at least 25 years for men and 20 for women.
  • RUB 16,002.58 – citizens over 80 years of age, if they have worked for the RKS for 15 years or more, and their total insurance experience is at least 25 years for men and 20 for women.
  • RUB 6,934.45 – citizens under 80 years of age, if they have worked in the PKS for 20 years or more, and their total insurance experience is at least 25 years for men and 20 for women.
  • 13868.90 rub. – citizens over 80 years of age, if they have worked in the PKS for 20 years or more, and their total insurance experience is at least 25 years for men and 20 for women.

If there are dependents, an additional payment to the old-age pension must be accrued in the amount of:

  • for the first – 1/3 of the established fixed payment amount (FPV);
  • for the second – 2/3 UVV;
  • for the third - 1 UVV.

What affects the size of the pension?

Currently, each citizen’s pension is calculated depending on the years in which he worked. This is due to the fact that the principles for calculating pensions have changed several times, so each individual period is important for the pension. The following periods are determining for the registration of a pension:

  • work until 1991;
  • 1991 – 2002;
  • 2002 – 2015;
  • 2015 – present.

Work experience acquired for work during Soviet times is included in the general formula for calculating pension benefits. Since at that time there were no personal accounts of citizens intended for insurance contributions, the length of service must be documented. The most important document for confirming work activity during the Soviet period is the work book. If this is not available, you can use the following documents:

  • extracts from orders for the organization;
  • payroll statements;
  • certificates from employers.

We also recommend that you read about the minimum length of service for an old-age pension in this material.

If an enterprise or institution has been dissolved, reorganized or liquidated, the identifying document may be a certificate from the state archive.

When calculating a pension for work during Soviet times, any 60 weeks (5 years) following in a row are taken into account. This period is determined by the future pensioner himself based on the maximum salary. The amount received is multiplied by 10%, in addition, for each year worked in Soviet times, the pensioner is credited with 1%.

In addition to wages, when calculating a pension, the length of service coefficient is taken into account, which is equal to 0.55. To obtain such a coefficient, a man must work for 25 years, and a woman for 20. Then, for each year worked beyond this period, 0.01 is added to the coefficient, but not more than 0.2. Thus, the amount of a pension for work in Soviet times is influenced by wages and length of service.

The 2002 reform changed the principle of calculating pensions. The pension system for citizens provided for the opening of personal accounts for each employee, where insurance contributions are transferred. The concept of compulsory insurance, necessary for calculating pensions, was introduced. After 2002 it began to consist of three parts:

  • basic;
  • funded pension;
  • old age labor pension.

The accrual of pensions, starting from 2002, is calculated using a rather complex formula, which takes into account pension points and additional coefficients, so many prefer to obtain all the information about the future pension via the Internet on the government services portal. Detailed information about your future pension can also be provided at any Pension Fund branch. Usually citizens visit branches at their place of permanent residence.

The law on old-age pensions can be found here.

Why is it dangerous to find out your pension fund online?

There are many scam sites on the Internet that offer to find out information about which pension fund your savings are stored in. These sites may request passport data or SNILS. Later, the attackers use this information for their own purposes, but you will not receive any information on the issue of interest.

Another type of fraudulent sites are those that require payment for the service. The visitor follows the instructions on the site, registers in the system, and then is asked to send an SMS to a specific number. After this, the amount for a call to a paid number is debited from your mobile or home phone account.

You should not trust such sites, even if at first glance they seem honest. Remember that only two online resources can provide information on your own accumulated pension fund - the government services portal and the official website of the Pension Fund.
